It occured to me that you guys cant see all the nice info that's been posted in the Development sections. There's more going on in the background then just a map. :)

Here is a brief history of the world (a much more detailed history has already been completed but we'll wait until more things become concrete before posting).

Brief History of Arhmethalia

After a rock damaged the hull of the merchant ship, Arhmethalia, the crew was forced to go looking for wood to repair the ship. That night a terrible storm came in and pushed the ship further onto the rocks, and the strong winds broke the masts. The crew was able to salvage some of the tools, cargo, and sails, but the ship was lost. Over the next month the crew created shelters and began building a new ship for the voyage home. During one the many surveys of the island the crew came across a cave that had an abundant supply of diamonds.
The Captain decided to leave seven crewmen to guard the island and cave, until he could return with more men and supplies. When the Captain returned he found that the seven crewmen had been slaughtered, but not a single diamond was missing. The only thing they could find that gave some kind of clue as to what happened was strange web like footprints.
Realizing the danger, the Captain order his men to build a fort to protect them and their ships. It wasn’t long till other ships passing by the island stopped and traded for diamonds.
Fifty years went by and the small fort grew into a large city with the help of the wealthy retired crew of the Arhmethalia. The Captain had grown old and weak. But he wanted to leave his city to capable hands, so he decreed, “that from hence forth there will be seven council members of Arhmethalia that would rule the city in honor of the crewmen who lost their lives.”
