Ok, so what RAM am I supposed to pair with an AMD 4200+ X2 processor and this motherboard: http://www.msicomputer.com/product/p_spec.asp?model=K9N_Platinum&class=mb ??
and tell me how you came to that conclusion of course. :D
I was thinking this was the answer: http://www.ec.kingston.com/ecom/configurator_new/partsinfo.asp?root=us&LinkBack=http://www.kingston.com&ktcpartno=KVR533D2N4K2/2G

I WANT to get corsair. Unfortunately I cant figure out which one to order (what's compatible, what clockspeed, etc).

Any DDR2 should work. Same goes for clock rate as the clock rates on ram are just what they tested good up to. The AM2 A64s support upto ddr2 800 so I would buy that but if you were to buy ddr2 1066 (I think that's it) it would work fine running at 800. The cpu (for A64s anyway) sets the clock rate.
DDr2 800 corsair

corsair has a few more kits at this speed, one with leds, a few with lower cas and one with a bit of an ugly (imo) cooler on it
non corsair kits

I thought about it, but it's just too darn expensive. I'm way over budget so this will have to do.
