End Game?

I know the level cap is 40 on the server... and so far now that I have found a class and build that I like I am doing well.

The questions I have is about end game. I was told that there is a lot of boss's and such that are immune to Criticals and that makes me cry since I am WM, and I do some high Crits... But I also wanna be prepared for some fun stuff, and in order for that to happen.

What kind of gear/stats should I look into? I have heard Resistances would be a plus.

for most of the abyss it is better to have dmg soak or resistance to the elements than anything from what I have heard.
